<b>Location: London (Marsham Street, SW1P 4DF)Duration: 6 monthsContracting Authority: Home Office</b><br><br>We’re looking for Strategic Communications Managers to work with the Home Office, to plan, implement and evaluate communications strategies to support the Home Secretary’s priority pillars.     <li>Develop and deliver innovative and creative communications at pace in a complex policy and operational environment.</li><li>Be the key account manager for policy/operational colleagues to develop, plan, coordinate and deliver communication strategies that support the delivery of policy or operational changes.</li><li>Utilise insight and digital tools to ensure that campaigns are evidenced based and identify and overcome barriers or behaviours that will impact effectiveness.</li><li>Work with multi-discipline teams across the communication directorate to implement communication solutions as required. This may involve working as part of virtual teams from other parts of the directorate such as press and social media.</li><li>Liaise and navigate work across other Government departments ensuring plans are aligned to wider UK Government objectives and messages and are attuned to political nuances.</li><li>Brief Officials and colleagues; inputting into Ministerial briefs; and reporting on communications activity, outcomes and risks.</li><li>Brief suppliers and agencies, ensuring clarity of task.</li><li>Ensure campaigns achieve value for money and quantifiable outcomes.</li><li>Public sector communications experience, primarily client-side in local or central government or agency-side with public sector clients.</li><li>Strong understanding of political/news landscape – can advise on risks and reputational issues and demonstrate political awareness.</li><li>Strong experience in a strategic communications role, including planning communications from strategic development and thinking through to delivery.</li><li>Experience using multiple communications channels, including low cost and digital.</li><li>Success in applying behavioural insights to communications and measuring the impact on actual behaviour change.</li><li>Communication and influencing skills, having worked with colleagues to understand business requirements and develop trusted relationships.</li><li>Analytical skills, with experience of working on programmes that meet complex behaviour change challenges. You will be able to draw conclusions from complex data and be able to simplify complex policy into clear communications that drives action.</li><li>A solid grasp of using communication evaluation techniques and methods.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal briefing skills and a strong customer service ethos.</li><li>Strong project management and organization skills.</li><li>An understanding of mitigating reputation risk when planning communications activity.</li><li>Educated to degree level, hold a relevant professional communications qualification or equivalent industry experience.</li><li>CTC Clearance (highly desirable).</li><li>Work From Home</li><li>Monday to Friday</li><li>Public Sector Communications: 1 year (Required)</li><li>CTC Clearance (Preferred)</li><li>Work from home</li><li>Temporarily due to COVID-19</li>
