Description

    <li>Successful track record of delivering a range of HR disciplines and people issues such as Pay, Resourcing, Employee Relations, HR/OD policies and strategies;</li><li>Strong Employee Relations knowledge pertaining to ACAS guidelines on disciplinary, grievance, attendance management and performance management guidelines</li><li>Evidence of successfully delivering a customer focused HR service and leading people through change.</li><li>Strong business acumen with an understanding of the key financial drivers related to growth and cost management goals of an organisation.</li><li>Ability to assess new situations, apply a good degree of logic and develop solutions to problems</li><li>Initiating successful change and continuous improvement (and adapting best practice from elsewhere);</li><li>Proven customer centric focus with the ability to influence culture and create alignment between strategic objectives, behaviours, and people initiatives</li><li>CIPD, or working towards, and 5 years+ of working in HR</li><li>Track record of partnering with managers and establish rapport quickly with all levels of the organisation</li><li>Strong consultative style with proven experience supporting senior executives and driving HR initiatives with them</li><li>Evidence of effective negotiation, influencing & consulting skills to effect organisational change with limited resources.</li><li>Experience or ability to deal with casework whether of an individual or group nature.</li><li>'Commitment to the cause'.</li><li>Commercial HR management experience</li><li>Consultative and unionised HR experience</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of HR legislation and best practice</li><li>Experience of representing their organisation at Tribunals</li><li>Shape and manage the HR operational team to ensure consistent application of new and existing HR processes plus delivery of HR services within new and existing service level agreements (SLAs)</li><li>Coach, mentor, support and lead a team to provide 'first-line' advice to line managers and employees in the application of HR policies and procedures.</li><li>Develop more innovative, effective, customer-centric channels for the delivery of shared services, including Employee Self Service and Manager Self Service.
