<b>Position: Technical Implementation Engineer</b><br><br><b>Location: Cambridge</b><br><br><b>Contract: £264 per day – Inside IR35 (initially 3 months with possible extensions)</b><br><br>Technical Implementation Engineer/Architect needed to work within the government sector. You will be responsible for various aspects of the IT architectural design. Ensuring that the architecture balances functional, service quality and systems management requirements, whilst supporting the implementation of the IT Strategies and best practice guidelines and methodologies.     <li>Plan & Implement new IT technologies, e.g. PC hardware and peripherals, desktop and office systems software, in line with the requirements of the Business and the corporate IT Strategy.</li><li>Ability to analyse complex issues and quickly identify possible solutions based on a sound analysis of the information available.</li><li>Drive technical delivery within technical projects and ensure there is a managed transfer to IT operations.</li><li>Independently find solutions to problems, using theoretical know-how and experience, especially in situations requiring a significant degree of technical judgment.</li><li>Must be skilled at working with multi-functional teams and building on the work of others in other parts of the organisation.</li><li>Ability to analyse problems and produce a range of options, culminating in a preferred solution, where problems may be complex and multi-faceted, difficult to define and may have no perfect solution.</li><li>Ability to independently produce clear documentation.</li><li>To research, evaluate, test, configure and roll-out complex IT services and products to ensure that they operate reliably, securely, efficiently and meet the highest levels of availability.</li><li>Practical and theoretical experience of infrastructure technologies and systems including Windows 10, Active Directory, Windows Server, VMWare, Citrix, SAN technologies plus cloud-based technologies such as Azure, AWS and Office 365.</li><li>Good knowledge of security products and architectures.</li><li>Experience of integration between partners, between systems from different suppliers and between the client and its suppliers.</li><li>Working with technology suppliers on products and services.</li><li>Degree in IT related subject or equivalent</li><li>MCSE or Similar</li><li>MS Azure and/or Office 365 certifications (desirable)</li><li>Temporarily due to COVID-19</li>
